Christine, one of our regulars, came in recently with her young daughter, Mia, who was carrying a piggy bank. Christine explained to our bartenders that ever since Christmas, Mia has been telling her mom that she was sad she didn’t get her mom a Christmas present. Christine tried to explain to her that it wasn’t necessary, but Mia wouldn’t relent; she was insistent on purchasing the thing her mom loved to buy most: Alex and Ani.
After much searching and showing, Mia finally decided on the Love Wrap because in her own words, “It said ‘love,’ and she loved her mom.” When it came time to purchase, the piggy bank was emptied onto the top of a case, while our bartenders counted hundreds and hundreds of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Her mom covered the remaining balance. We were so happy to see how the power of positivity was expressed by such a thoughtful little one!
